The presenters will discuss how to get access to images and their value as an academic tool in teaching. This 50-minute presentation and workshop will explore the ideas and meanings images can generate depending on their cultural and historic context, and strategies for finding and using them. Practical demonstrations of selected Leeds University resources will also be shown. The workshop will have a group activity component to reinforce contemporary issues discussed, including intellectual property rights.
